Good fencing provides security, privacy, and a clean backdrop for your garden planting. At F&D Landscapes, we install all types of fencing and gates across Bedford and the surrounding areas, from standard closeboard and lap panel fencing to contemporary slatted screens, picket fencing, and bespoke timber gates. We also carry out fence repairs and replacements.

Our most popular fencing option is closeboard (featheredge) fencing, constructed on site using individual boards nailed to arris rails between concrete or timber posts. This creates a strong, wind-resistant fence that can be built to any height and follows sloping ground seamlessly. For a more decorative look, we offer hit-and-miss panels, horizontal slat screens, and trellis-top fencing that allows light through whilst maintaining privacy.

We also supply and install a range of garden gates — from simple side gates for access to ornamental entrance gates that make a statement. All our timber is pressure-treated for long-lasting protection against rot and insect damage, and we use concrete posts and gravel boards as standard for maximum durability. Metal posts and caps are also available for a contemporary look.
